Mindfulness in Schools

Same Passion, Different Settings

Jason Steele and Richard Burnett in Conversation

Monday 25th November 2024 – 7pm to 8pm (UK time)

What to expect?

To begin the MiSP Speaker Series for 2024/25, you are warmly invited to hear Jason Steele, founder and CEO of Raise the Youth, and Mindfulness in Schools Project co-founder, Richard Burnett, discuss their approaches to sharing mindfulness with the young people in their settings. Jason is proprietor and principal of an independent SEMH Specialist school Raise Education & Wellbeing School and various youth and community services and Richard is a highly experienced teacher at Tonbridge School and co-wrote .b and other MiSP curricula.

Join us online on 25 November 2024 7-8pm (UK time) for a live Q&A with Jason (left) and Richard (right). We will start off watching their conversation, recorded for the International Conference on Mindfulness 2024. Hear them share their experience and insights from teaching mindfulness in their settings in an uplifting and important conversation around education, inclusion, the universality of mindfulness and trauma-sensitivity, plus the enjoyment to be had from the curriculum!

There will also be an opportunity for Jason and Richard to answer questions. If you personally have a question for Jason or Richard, please email support@mindfulnessinschools.org one week before the event (i.e. by Mon 18th November 2024). We will try to ask as many of these as possible during the session.

This session is set to provide thought provoking and inspiring reflections from two key contributors to field. It will be a chance to come together as a (global) community, including warmly welcoming any familiar and newer faces!

Who is invited?

The webinar is open to ALL so please do invite colleagues and friends.

We are very grateful to Jason and Richard for donating their time to support this MiSP fundraising Speaker Series.
