Online Thursday 26th November 2026 – 7pm to 8pm (UK time)

What to expect?
In the first of our Speaker Series for 2026/7 Dr Tamara Russell, Chartered Clinical Psychologist and neuroscientist, shares insights from her work to support young people and families managing ADHD. Tamara will outline how mindful movement, creativity and a “brainwise” approach based on Professor Paul Gilbert’s Three Circles model can support those with executive challenges to access the benefits of mindfulness. The blue “drive” mode works differently in those with ADHD and we need to scaffold and support the practices in a different way to give those with ADHD a chance for success.
There will also be an opportunity for Tamara to answer your questions. If you have a question for Tamara about mindfulness and ADHD, please email support@mindfulnessinschools.org one week before the event (i.e. by Thu 19th November 2026). We will try to ask as many of these as possible during the session.
The session is set to provide thought provoking and inspiring reflections from a key contributor in the field. It will be a chance to come together as a global community. We warmly welcome everyone, whether you are already familiar with MiSP or completely new!
Who is invited?
The webinar is open to ALL so please do invite colleagues and friends.
We are very grateful to Dr Tamara Russell for donating her time to support this MiSP fundraising Speaker Series.
About the Speaker
Dr. Tamara Russell, PhD, DClinPsych

Dr Tamara Russell is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, neuroscientist and black-belt martial artist specialising in “brainwise” mindfulness adaptations for individuals and groups.
She is the founder of Body in Mind Training (BMT), an approach that combines mindful movement, creativity and neuroscience. Over almost 20 years, BMT has supported people across education, healthcare, the workplace, creative industries, sport, and even space.
The approach began on inpatient hospital wards and in forensic intensive care units, where sitting still and turning attention inward can be especially challenging. It has since evolved into a flexible methodology that can be adapted to diverse contexts and individual needs.
In collaboration with Raquel Lhullier, Dr Russell adapted BMT for children and families through What Colour Is Your Dragon? This playful, creative approach is used across generations and cultures to cultivate mindfulness, compassion and emotional intelligence, helping people live with greater kindness and care.
Dr Russell is the author of #WhatIsMindfulness?, Mindfulness in Motion and What Colour Is Your Dragon?
This event is part of the Speaker Series we are running in 2026/27.
This event is offered for free. We are a registered charity and if you would like to make a donation you can include one when buying your ticket. It is entirely optional, but this additional support can make a big difference towards our charitable efforts.
