If mindfulness is to become an established part of the education of children and young people, it is very important that the highest standards of professionalism and evidence-based integrity are maintained. We believe that this is in the interests of all those teaching mindfulness and the adults and young people learning it.
- A well-established daily mindfulness practice (including 20-30 minutes daily practice in the six months prior to the Teach .b Foundations 6-day Residential Training).
- Trained to teach .b or Paws b.
- Taught either .b or Paws b at least twice.
- Employed by a school where you will lead .b Foundations. This course will not enable you to deliver .b Foundations to anyone not employed by your school.
This training will enable you to deliver the .b Foundations course to staff within the safeguarded environment of your school. It is important that you are permanently based in a school so you are on hand to support staff in developing their practice beyond the 8-week course. The training does not equip you with the skills to teach mindfulness to adults generally but is a specialist training developed for teachers within schools.
