MiSP Course Terms & Conditions (MYRIAD group)

Teaching the .b Course – MYRIAD Group

Please read carefully and print off a copy of this agreement between you and Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP) for future reference. By applying for the MYRIAD Teacher Network you are confirming your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

No course or course materials, nor any part thereof may be reproduced, stored or transmitted in any form or by any means without the prior written permission of MiSP.

1.2 In particular the MYRIAD Group will have private access to the .b animations before their public launch. You will not share these materials with other non-MYRIAD .b trained parties and will only use them in the teaching of .b as part of the MYRIAD research project .b teaching.

The course content, teaching materials and ongoing support

2. Copyright of the course belongs to MiSP.

2.1. Using the materials provided

i) Materials must only be copied, shared or used by the teachers trained in the MYRIAD group of teachers.

ii) Materials must not be amended or adapted without the specific permission of and in collaboration with MiSP.

2.2. The course includes six months complimentary membership of the MYRIAD Teachers’ Network, from where all teaching materials can be downloaded.

Teaching the .b course

3. You are qualified to teach the .b course within the school where you are employed as a staff member. If you wish to teach the curriculum outside this school you must be granted a Certificate of Training from MiSP. This may be possible once the MYRIAD research project is complete. For further information on this please contact enquiries@mindfulnessinschools.org

3.1. You will be acting as an independent teacher, you are trained by MiSP but you are not an employee of MiSP

3.2 You will not be covered by MiSP’s insurance. It is your responsibility to organise the necessary insurance cover required to teach.

3.3 Teach .b course training equips you to teach the curriculum to pupils, but not to provide any form of teacher training to adults (i.e. training others to teach the course).

3.4 The simple key practices – FOFBOC, Beditation, 7/11 are the only practices that may be taught to students and colleagues outside of the curriculum.

3.5 The .b curriculum must not be taught as a public course. Background knowledge of the pupils you teach is essential to ensuring their safety and wellbeing. Schools or educational organisations provide the necessary framework of child protection policies and structures to safeguard children in a way which a public course would not.

Data protection

4. MiSP is registered under the provisions of the UK Data Protection Act 1998 and keeps any personal data about you in confidence.

5. MiSP has the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. These terms and conditions are available within the MYRIAD .b Teachers’ Network section along with the course materials.
