Every so often, we invite the worldwide educational community to join us in a series of free online daily practices. These drop-in sessions are intended to nourish, support and connect us with each other, and everyone is welcome.
Look out for our next series of daily drop-in sessions. Each session starts at 11am and lasts for approximately 20 minutes.
We also hold a #SchoolsSitTogether every half-term. Please feel free to join us. Find out more and register here.
‘Sit Together’ sessions will be accessed via Zoom – if appropriate, we ask participants to keep their webcams on which allows us to see each other and appreciate being part of a wonderful community.
Anyone! Whether you are completely new to mindfulness or already have experience of mindfulness practice, these sits offer a chance to have a daily pause, to refocus on how we can best take care of ourselves and, in turn, of others.
Join us with the children and young people in your care, your family, your housemates, your colleagues or just by yourself.
If you don’t already have the Zoom app, you can download it for free here. Once installed on your device, simply click on the meeting link provided by MiSP at the allocated time, and we will take care of the rest. There is a useful video tutorial on how to join a meeting here.

“Thank you so much for putting on the daily mindfulness sessions at the moment. I have really valued the routine of knowing they are on at the same time every day… I’m finding that little window in the day every morning very helpful for grounding me!”
“I would like to take this opportunity to say how grateful I am for the daily meeting! It is wonderful to get together every day at 11. I look forward to it every day!”
Previous MiSP Sit Together series
For thirteen weeks during the UK coronavirus pandemic lockdown, when households were isolated and schools were closed to the majority of children, Mindfulness in Schools Project delivered a series of free daily online mindfulness practice providing support, connection and community to teachers, parents, children and the general public.
From 23rd March 2020 to 19th June 2020 we provided 91 Sits to a total of 1,057 participants who, between them, attended a total of 4,633 sessions.
At the end of a very challenging Autumn term, we provided mindfulness sessions every working day for the final two weeks of the year to provide a virtual place to meet, practice and be still together.
From 21st December 2020 to 31st December 2020 we provided 7 Sits to a total of 98 participants who, between them, attended a total of 266 sessions.
When the UK went into another full lockdown with schools, once again, closed to all but vulnerable students and children of keyworkers, we were delighted to welcome the general public to join members of our Hub community at drop-in mindfulness sessions every working day at 11am. This provided a virtual space to meet regularly and practise mindfulness together.
From 11th January 2021 to 5th March 2021 we provided 39 Sits to a total of 421 participants who, between them, attended a total of 2,220 sessions.
