Braving the Shave for MiSP’s ‘A Million Minds Matter’ appeal!

Our supporter Caroline Wilson has a head of lovely thick hair. But not for much longer! She has persuaded her reluctant husband Graham to help her shave it all off at 11am on Friday 8th May 2020 to raise funds for our A Million Minds Matter appeal…

As an adult mindfulness practitioner and trained mindfulness teacher, Caroline is committed to helping to raise funds to ensure that children and young people can learn mindfulness skills early in life so to access their benefits sooner and for longer. Having considered more customary methods of fundraising, she has found a more novel way to raise money for our charity during the UK lockdown! Caroline is fond of her hair, and chopping it all off will not be easy. She said:

“I have already been on a bit of a mental marathon in building up to a decision to do this, also knowing that the journey will continue well after the day of the ‘cut’ itself! It’s the prospect of fundraising for MiSP that gives me the impetus needed, making me feel brave enough to want to do it.”

Caroline’s husband Graham has openly admitted he isn’t at all keen on the idea. But in spite of his doubts, he has volunteered to wield the clippers in support!
