Nominate a MiSP Junior or Youth Ambassador!

MiSP curricula has been taught to thousands of children and young people from all backgrounds in all types of schools and youth-related organisations the UK and beyond. We are keen to celebrate some of the young people who have discovered the benefits of mindfulness for themselves, who can inspire others to practice mindfulness in their school and in the wider community too.

Applications are now open for teachers and adults working in schools to nominate young people to become MiSP Junior Ambassadors (ages 7 to 13) and Youth Ambassadors (ages 14-23).

These young people will have completed the Paws b or .b course in their school/setting and have found the mindfulness skills and practices that they have learnt particularly helpful in their lives. Nominees will regularly practice mindfulness themselves, and model the qualities that regular mindfulness practice develops, such as open-minded curiosity, kindness, acceptance, and compassion. They will be skilled at building positive relationships with other people and with the world around them, providing support and encouragement to other young people in their school/setting, and to the adults too!

We aim to show that mindfulness can benefit any young person, from any background or setting, so we welcome nominations of young people from all circumstances and experiences.

Our Junior and Youth Ambassadors will champion mindfulness in their own school or educational setting, and they will also support MiSP’s work to promote mindfulness to the wider educational community, showcasing the benefits of mindfulness for young people to inspire others.

This scheme aims to recognise and celebrate new skills learnt by young people, and give them a role with responsibilities to build their experience and confidence. They will each receive a certificate, a MiSP t-shirt and an information pack to support them in this role!
