What is .b, pronounced [dot-be]?
.b, pronounced [dot-be], stands for ‘Stop, Breathe and Be!’ is the name for the range of courses created by Mindfulness in Schools Project, a charity whose aim is to encourage, support and research the teaching of secular mindfulness in schools.
This 4-day course consists of real-time lessons, an exploration of the pedagogy of .b and opportunities to practice teaching the key exercises. You will leave feeling confident and empowered to teach .b to 11-18 year olds. More >>
Teach Paws b
This 3-day course is designed for those who wish to teach mindfulness to 7-11 year olds. It consists of real time lessons, pedagogy sessions, discussion groups and opportunities to practise the lessons with each other. More >>
Teach .b Foundations (for adult mindfulness teachers)
The 3-day course is for trained teachers of mindfulness to adults who wish to teach the 8 week .b Foundations course to teachers and other adults working with young people in schools. More >>
Lead colleagues in .b Foundations
The 6-day residential training is for .b or Paws b teachers who have not trained to teach adults mindfulness, but who wish to be able to teach the 8 week .b Foundations course to teachers and other adults in the school or educational organisation where they are employed. More >>
Supported Places for Schools
MiSP is now a registered charity and so able to offer a limited number of free and discounted places on our UK courses (Teach .b, Teach Paws b, Lead colleagues in .b Foundations and 1-day Mindfulness for School Senior Leaders) to teachers working in UK schools depending on the number of pupils in the school who receive Pupil Premium Funding.
